Bogg has surpassed $400 million in lifetime sales and is now pushing past the beach with its first bag built for commuters, athletes and travelers. The New Jersey brand, founded in 2008 and relaunched in 2013, will debut the Go Tote this month at $90, $120 and $150 across three sizes.
The product marks a deliberate shift for a company known for colorful, washable EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate, a soft moldable foam rubber) beach totes. The Go Tote keeps an EVA base but replaces the rigid body with a soft-touch material. It adds a zippable top, a crossbody strap and a laptop pocket. Bogg developed every one of those features from customer feedback, according to the company.
Why move away from a winning formula?
The answer sits in the sales mix. Bogg sold 2.2 million bags in 2025 and expects record revenue in 2026. Roughly 40% of sales come from retail partners; the remaining 60% come from direct-to-consumer channels (DTC, meaning the brand's own sales to shoppers) and Amazon. A single seasonal product line caps how far that engine can run, and a commuter bag extends the brand into year-round use.
Distribution is widening at the same time. In July, Bogg entered Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. Those deals pushed the total number of U.S. locations carrying its products past 7,000. The brand built its cult-like following largely through social media over the past few years, and that base now gives it leverage with national retailers.
What does the Go Tote change?
The bag tests whether Bogg can carry its audience beyond a niche. Three concrete breaks with the original design stand out:
- A zippable top, replacing the open tote format
- A crossbody strap for hands-free carrying
- A padded laptop pocket aimed at workday use
- A soft-touch upper body, with EVA foam rubber retained only in the base
The pricing ladder from $90 to $150 also sits above typical seasonal beach gear. That positions the Go Tote against everyday carry brands rather than against Bogg's own summer shelf.
Can the growth continue?
The numbers suggest momentum. Lifetime sales above $400 million, 2.2 million bags moved in 2025, a projected revenue record in 2026 and more than 7,000 U.S. retail doors form a strong launch platform for the new line. If the Go Tote lands with commuters as the original tote did with beachgoers, Bogg converts a seasonal cult brand into a year-round accessories player.
