Pinterest used its "Pinterest Presents" event on Tuesday to unveil a suite of new ad tools and experiences, positioning the platform as a destination for brands in the AI age.

The features will roll out in the coming weeks. One key offering, Visual Search Ads, lets brands advertise their products prominently in search results and in Pin close-ups — the Pins that users click on to examine in detail.

Pinterest is also expanding its automated advertising suite, Pinterest Performance+, to include manual A/B testing tools. The update gives advertisers more direct control over creative experimentation, complementing the platform's automation capabilities.

In addition, brands advertising on Pinterest can now choose which products to prioritize during key commercial moments, such as a seasonal launch.

The announcements signal Pinterest's broader effort to strengthen its appeal to marketers as AI reshapes how consumers discover and shop for products. By combining visual search placement with greater campaign control, the platform is betting that brands will follow shoppers who increasingly use Pinterest as a product discovery engine.

The new tools arrive as competition for ad budgets intensifies across visual and social platforms, and as marketers weigh which channels deliver measurable performance alongside brand visibility.
